What Can You Do On a Mission Field to Bless a Ministry, Part-time or Full-time?

This summer, we were blessed to install Starlink, Elon Musk’s global satellite system, in our facility in Honduras. Now our guests will have free internet service! And now Jon will have no excuse not to finish his writing projects while in Honduras! (“It seems that every silver lining has a cloud!” Jon says.) Fortunately, a group visiting from Anchor Baptist in Columbus, Ohio (for their ninth year, Jon thinks) had just returned from a trip to Ghana, where they had installed the same system for a missionary there.

“They offered to install ours,” Jon says, “and since I struggle to find the on/off switch, I was delighted to let them do it.”

Thank you to Jordan Laurel, Mike Munson, and Rayan Silie, who did most of the work while Jon watched in amazement. Since they couldn’t finish the task in one short week, Mike and his wife Jessica returned a month later to finish the task. They plan to move to Honduras next year and serve in our ministry there with the churches and feeding centers. Mike will oversee the administrative staff in the ministry, and both will teach English!
